Ning
Tang has been with Colin Gordon and Associates as a consultant
primarily working in the field of structural dynamics and vibration
control. He has extensive skills in implementing sophisticated finite
element methods and applying advanced dynamics techniques to predict
vibrations of structures. He has over 7 years of extensive
research/industrial experience in fracture and fatigue, heat transfer,
experimental mechanics, plates and shell, vibrations and control,
composite materials, elasticity and viscoelasticity. His background
also includes hands-on work with equipment for electron microscopy and
semiconductor photolithography. His consulting work includes: structural design and evaluation; vibration measurements and monitoring; identification of dynamical properties; evaluation of isolation systems; and tool pedestal design and testing. Ning recently received his Ph.D. after research that focused on next-generation lithographic masks. This included the development of a new method to determine the intrinsic stresses of freestanding thin films in microelectronics. He also designed and conducted sag tests of an advanced optical reticle/pellicle film as an experimental substantiation of the method. Education
Ning Tang has written and presented several papers in the area of engineering mechanics and structural engineering.
